  • Sleep is essential if you’re an athlete. Here’s one trick to help improve sleep quality.

    A couple of my athletes have had trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. When this problem is present the night before the race or the night after the race, I don’t worry too much about it. It’s a common problem. I get more worried if athletes cannot get quality sleep over the long haul. One very simple thing that has helped numerous athletes improve sleep quality is keeping a daily journal. One or two hours before bedtime I have them write down all the things that worry them.
